II. Installation Distance Based on Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This lens has a fixed throw ratio (0.5:1), and the installation distance varies linearly with image size, with no scope for adjustment. Accurate measurements must be taken before installation.

These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not allow for heat dissipation or cable connection space behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual on-site measurements and the manual shall prevail.

The table below is sorted by model launch date, newest to oldest, and includes each model's resolution, brightness, and the zoom ratio of its original lens, making it easy to quickly match a model to your project requirements.

The zoom ratio refers to the zoom factor of the model's original standard lens (upper limit of the original throw ratio range ÷ lower limit), not the zoom range of the lens itself described in this article.

What These Models Have in Common

The original standard lenses on these 7 models mostly have throw ratios concentrated in the 1.36–2.18:1 range. The 0.5:1 model in this article effectively adjusts the focal range, so the same projection distance can produce a different image size—this is the direct reason for swapping lenses. At the same time, full lens shift capability is retained, so the image can still be aligned after adjusting the focal range.

IV. Three Checks Before Replacement

• The panel and resolution must match. This model is compatible with a 0.48-inch panel. Projectors with different panel sizes or resolutions may produce slightly different image quality, so it is best to check the nameplate on the chassis before installation.
• Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally well standardized within the same platform generation, but the position of the locking latch may vary by generation. If the image appears skewed or the edges look soft after installation, the latch is usually not fully engaged rather than the lens itself being faulty.
• A fixed-focus lens has no zoom adjustment. The image size can only be adjusted by moving the projector body. The installation area must be measured accurately first, with an additional 10–20 cm left at each endpoint.

For models not included in the list, it is safest to send us the chassis nameplate and photos of the original lens for verification. Projectors from the same platform generation often share the same interface, but placing an order based solely on a similar model number carries unnecessary risk.
