The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This is a fixed-focus lens (0.5:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with the image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are required before installation.

The 0.5:1 model featured in this article effectively incorporates a focal-length adjustment, enabling different image sizes at the same projection distance—this is precisely the direct reason for replacing the lens. Full lens-shift capability is also retained, allowing the image to remain properly aligned after the focal length is adjusted.

IV. Confirm Three Points Before Replacement

• Ensure the panel and resolution match. This model is compatible with a 0.48-inch panel. Projectors with a different panel size or resolution may produce slightly different image performance, so check the details against the nameplate on the projector before installation.
• Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally compatible within the same platform generation, but the position of the locking clips varies between generations. If the image is skewed or the edges appear soft after installation, the locking mechanism usually has not fully engaged; this is rarely an issue with the lens itself.
• A fixed-focus lens has no zoom adjustment. Image size can only be changed by moving the projector. Measure the room dimensions accurately first, and leave an additional 10–20 cm at the endpoints.
