The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This is a fixed-focal-length lens (0.5:1), so the installation distance changes linearly with the image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.

The distances above are clear distances from the front of the lens to the projection screen and do not include space for rear housing ventilation and wiring. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances should be verified on site and according to the manual.

The original factory lens for this model generally has a throw ratio in the 1.36 -2.18:1 range. The 0.5:1 model featured here effectively uses a different focal length, allowing a different image size at the same projection distance—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. It also retains the full lens-shift capability, so the image can still be aligned after changing the throw range.

IV. Three Checks Before Replacement

• The panel and resolution must match. This model is designed for 0.48-inch panels. Projection performance may vary on projectors with different panel sizes or resolutions, so checking the projector nameplate before installation is the safest approach.
• The interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces generally offer good compatibility within the same platform generation, but the positions of the locking latches vary between generations. If the image appears skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the locking mechanism is usually not fully engaged rather than the lens itself being faulty.
• A fixed-focal-length lens has no zoom adjustment. The image size can only be changed by moving the projector. The site dimensions must be measured accurately, with an additional 10–20 cm allowed at each endpoint.

For confirmation of whether a model not on the list can be used, it is safest to send us the projector nameplate and a photo of the original lens. Same-generation platforms often share the same interface, but ordering based on a similar model designation alone carries unnecessary risk.
