WE532 Projector Lens 0.7–0.85:1 for 5 LG Professional Projectors

Zorsika WE Series · Model WE532 (Internal Model L64-055) · 2026-10-26

WE532 is a short-throw lens for the 0.47/0.48 panel family (LG), with a 0.7–0.85:1 throw ratio and lens shift. It is compatible with 5 projector models across 1 model series. This guide presents the lens specifications, installation distances, model compatibility list, and replacement key points all in one place.

Lens-shift capability is the key differentiator of this lens. The ±80% horizontal and ±45% vertical shift ranges allow the projector to be installed off the screen centerline, while lens shift brings the image back into alignment without the need for keystone correction. Keystone correction comes at a cost—each correction step sacrifices some effective pixels and can blur text edges. In professional installations, never use keystone correction when lens shift can solve the alignment issue; this is the non-negotiable standard for image quality.

II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This lens supports zoom (0.7–0.85:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of distances, and it can focus at any point within that range during installation.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 1.50 – 1.83 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 1.81 – 2.19 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 2.26 – 2.74 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 3.01 – 3.65 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space behind the projector for ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image format; actual values are subject to on-site measurements and the manual.

Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. When site conditions allow, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring first, then fine-tune the shift—adjusting both variables at once makes precise alignment difficult.

III. Compatible Models (5 Models, LG)

The table below is ordered by model production date, from newest to oldest and includes each model's resolution, brightness, and zoom ratio for the factory-supplied lens, making it easy to identify the right model for project requirements.

BU50NST5000 lumens4K 3840×21601.6X

The zoom ratio is the zoom factor of the model's original standard lens (upper limit ÷ lower limit of its original throw-ratio range), not the zoom range of the lens featured in this article.

Common Features of These Models

The original standard lenses for these 5 models generally have throw ratios within the 1.30 - 2.08 range. The 0.7–0.85:1 ratio of the model featured here effectively changes the focal range, allowing the same projection distance to produce a different image size—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. At the same time, full lens-shift capability is retained, so the image can still be aligned after the focal range is adjusted.

IV. Three Things to Confirm Before Replacement

  • The panel size and resolution must match. This model is designed for 0.48-inch panels. Projectors with a different panel size or resolution will show some differences in projection performance, so the safest approach is to check the nameplate on the projector before installation.
  • Interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally compatible across platforms of the same generation, but the position of the locking latches varies between generations. If the image appears skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the locking mechanism is usually not fully engaged rather than the lens itself being faulty.
  • Allow for lens-shift margin in the installation. The shift range provides some installation flexibility, but image quality at the edges declines when the lens is pushed to its limits. For normal use, keep the actual lens shift within 70% of the rated value.

For models outside the list, it is safest to send us the projector nameplate and a photo of the original lens for verification—platforms of the same generation often share interfaces, but ordering based on a similar model designation carries unnecessary risk.
