FA108 is a medium-long-throw lens for engineering projectors (full-color displays). It is compatible with 1 projector model across 1 model series. This article presents the lens specifications, installation distance, model compatibility list, and replacement considerations in one place.
I. Lens Specifications
| Model | FA108 |
| Internal Model | — |
| Series | FA Series |
| Throw Ratio | — |
| Compatible Models | 1 model / 1 model series |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for damage not caused by the user, subject to the date on the shipping receipt |
II. Installation Distance
The throw ratio for this model has not yet been recorded. For installation distance, refer to the nameplate on the physical unit and the user manual, or contact us to calculate it based on the on-site dimensions.
III. Compatible Models (1 Model, Full-Color Display)
The table below is arranged by production date, from newest to oldest, and lists the resolution, brightness, and zoom ratio of the original lens for each model, making it easy to identify the right option for your project.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution | Zoom Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| WU20 | 20000 lumens | WUXGA 1920×1200 | 1.33X |
The zoom ratio is the zoom factor of the original standard lens for that model (upper ÷ lower limits of the original throw ratio range), not the zoom range of the lens described in this article.
Compatible Original Manufacturer Lens Models
This model group includes 1 model that can be fitted with an original manufacturer lens. The corresponding throw ratios for each lens model are shown below for comparison with the original lens solution.
Original Manufacturer Full-Color Display Lenses
| Original Manufacturer Lens Model | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| A11 | 0.65~0.75 |
| A18 | 0.84~1.02 |
| A19 | 1.02~1.36 |
| A20 | 1.2~1.5 |
| A21 | 1.5~2.0 |
| A22 | 2.0~4.0 |
| A23 | 4.0~7.2 |
| A27 | 7.2~10.8 |
Common Features of These Models
The original standard lenses for this model group generally have throw ratios concentrated in the 1.5-2.0:1 range. The model described here effectively adjusts the focal range, allowing the same projection distance to produce a different image size—the direct reason for replacing the lens. Full lens-shift capability is retained, so the image can still be aligned after the focal range is adjusted.
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Verify the panel size. The panel specifications for this model have not yet been recorded. Please send us a photo of the nameplate on the unit for verification.
- Interfaces and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally interchangeable within the same platform generation, but the positions of the locking clips vary between generations. If the image appears skewed or the edges look uneven after installation, the most common cause is incomplete engagement of the lock, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
- A fixed-focus lens provides no zoom adjustment. Image size can only be changed by moving the projector, so the site dimensions must be measured accurately, allowing an additional 10–20 cm at the endpoints.
For models outside the list, it is safer to send us the unit nameplate and photos of the original lens for verification—platforms of the same generation often share interfaces, but ordering based only on a similar model designation carries unnecessary risk.
