Barco Original EN12 Ultra Wide Fixed Lens is an original optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a short-throw (Short Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 0.79:1. The factory compatibility list covers 7 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring workaround is needed. The value of an original lens lies not in the additional specifications, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of the corresponding projector series. Once installed, image circle coverage, edge illumination, and focusing travel all match the design values, with no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN12 Ultra Wide Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 0.79:1 |
| Product Type | Short Throw (Short Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 7 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for non-accidental damage, based on the date shown on the shipping documents |
These specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not listed in the specifications table. Please provide the exact projector model so that we can verify them for you. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk of incompatibility.
II. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens has a fixed focal length (0.79:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approximately 1.70 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approximately 2.04 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approximately 2.55 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approximately 3.40 m |
The distances above represent the clear distance from the front face of the lens to the projection screen and do not include space for rear housing ventilation and cable connections. These values are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances are subject to on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
III. Compatible Models (7 Models)
The following table is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; values that are unavailable are marked “—” and are not estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| CNHD-81B | 7500 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| CNWU-61B | 6000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| CNWU-81B | 7650 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W8 | — | 1920x1200 |
| F90-W13 | — | 1920x1200 |
| FS70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
To check whether a model outside this list is compatible, please send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Projector platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but the risks of ordering based solely on similar model names are not worth taking.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio of the same EN12 Ultra Wide Fixed lens varies by projector series. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.79:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector imaging chip and resolution. Each original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot provide full coverage, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.79:1. Use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your installation site. A fixed-focal-length lens has no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated for the mount of the corresponding projector series. After installation, you must hear the lens lock securely into place. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are uncertain, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one photo of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the physical products is the most reliable approach.
