Genuine Barco EN44 Long Zoom lens, 2.50-4.61:1 throw ratio, fits 21 models: Balder, Balder CinemaScope, Bragi, and Bragi CinemaScope. Bulk orders available.

Barco Original Lens EN44 Long Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a long-throw lens (Long Throw) with a throw ratio of 2.50-4.61:1. The OEM compatibility list covers 21 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; adapter rings are unnecessary. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra figures in the specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of the corresponding projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their design values, so keystone correction is not needed to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN44 Long Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 2.50-4.61:1 |
| Product Type | Long Throw |
| Compatible Models | 21 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user is eligible for after-sales service, based on the date on the shipping documents |
The above specifications are subject to the OEM specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please verify them with us based on the projector model. Ordering solely because the model names are similar carries the risk of a lens that will not fit.
II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This OEM lens is a zoom lens (2.50-4.61:1). A given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can be brought into focus at any position within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 5.38 – 9.91 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 6.45 – 11.89 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 8.06 – 14.87 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 10.75 – 19.82 m |
The figures above represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and exclude the space required for rear projector ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual values should be verified through on-site measurement and the OEM manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. When the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Models (21 models)
The table below is taken from the OEM compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are filled in from the model database; values that cannot be obtained are shown as “—” and are not estimated.

For confirmation of compatibility with a model not on the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and existing lens. Platforms from the same generation often share the same mount, but the risks of ordering based solely on similar model names are not worth taking.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
When the same EN44 Long Zoom is installed on the series listed below, the nominal throw ratio varies. Use the value for the series of the actual projector when selecting a lens.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 2.50-4.61:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 2.50-4.61:1. Use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses offer no margin, and zoom lenses should also allow an extra 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Check the mount and locking mechanism. Each OEM lens is calibrated to the mount of its projector series. After installation, you must hear it lock into place. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate, then send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
