Genuine JVC GL-MS4016SZG Zoom lens with standard throw and 1.50-1.84:1 ratio for JVC DLA-SH4KNLG, DLA-SH7NLG and DLA-VS4010NLG. Bulk project orders welcome.

JVC Genuine Lens GL-MS4016SZG Zoom is an original optical accessory for JVC professional projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a throw ratio of 1.50-1.84:1. The manufacturer's compatibility list covers 3 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; there is no need to make do with an adapter ring. The value of an original lens lies not in the extra figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and lens mount of that model series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing range are all exactly as designed, so there is no need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | JVC (JVC) |
| Lens Model | GL-MS4016SZG Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.50-1.84:1 |
| Product Type | Standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 3 models |

The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and lens-mount type not listed in the specification table, please provide your projector model so we can verify the details. Placing an order solely because the model numbers are similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Installation Distance and Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine zoom lens has a throw ratio of 1.50-1.84:1, so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. It can focus anywhere within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 3.22 – 3.96 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 3.87 – 4.75 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 4.84 – 5.93 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 6.45 – 7.91 m |
The distances above are clear distances from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not include clearance for rear projector ventilation or cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual values should be confirmed by on-site measurement and in accordance with the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: near the close end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; near the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. Where venue conditions permit, we recommend positioning the projector near the middle of the range. After installation, first use the focus ring to find the sharpest image position, and then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (3 Models)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are filled in from the model database; where the data is unavailable, an em dash is shown, with no assumptions made.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| JVC DLA-SH4KNLG | — | — |
| JVC DLA-SH7NLG | — | — |
| JVC DLA-VS4010NLG | — | — |
For models outside the list, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and current lens so we can verify compatibility. Platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but it is not worth taking the risk of ordering based on a similar model number.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio differs by series when the same GL-MS4016SZG Zoom is installed on the following series. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series to which the actual projector belongs.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.50-1.84:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. Original lenses are designed for specific panel sizes. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot provide full coverage, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 1.50-1.84:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. A fixed-focal-length lens offers no adjustment margin, and even with a zoom lens, allow an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Check the lens mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of this model series. After installation, you must hear it click into the locked position. A skewed image and soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not a fault in the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the current lens nameplate, and send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
