Barco Genuine Lens EN64 Long Zoom is an original optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a long-throw (Long Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 2.19-4.05:1. The official compatibility list covers 4 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size without resorting to adapter rings. The value of an original lens lies not in the additional figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and lens mount of that model series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet their design values, with no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN64 Long Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 2.19-4.05:1 |
| Product Type | Long-throw (Long Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 4 units |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for damage not caused by the user, based on the date on the shipping invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and lens-mount type not listed in the specification table, please verify them with us using the projector model. Ordering solely because the model names are similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (2.19-4.05:1), so a given screen size corresponds to a range of installation distances. The lens can focus at any distance within that range.
| Screen Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 4.71 – 8.71 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 5.65 – 10.45 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 7.06 – 13.06 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 9.42 – 17.41 m |
These are clear distances from the front lens element to the screen, excluding the space required for rear projector cooling and cable connections. The calculations are based on a 16:10 image; actual distances should be verified on site and are subject to the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: near the close end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; near the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where site conditions allow, use the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (4 Units)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution have been populated from the model database; where unavailable, they are marked as "—", and no values have been guessed.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Heimdall | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall Cinemascope | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall+ | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
| Heimdall+ Cinemascope | 4500 lumens | 4096x2160 |
To determine whether a model not on the list is compatible, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification. Models from the same generation platform often share a lens mount, but ordering based solely on a similar model name is too risky.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The rated throw ratio of the same EN64 Long Zoom varies across the model series listed below. Use the value for the series of the actual projector when selecting a lens.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 2.19-4.05:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector imaging panel and resolution. Original lenses are designed for a specific panel size. With a different panel specification, the image circle cannot cover the panel, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 2.19-4.05:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation site. A fixed-focus lens has no adjustment range, while a zoom lens should still allow an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Verify the lens mount and locking mechanism. Original lenses are calibrated to the mounts of the corresponding model series. After installation, you must hear the lens click securely into place. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a fault in the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate, then send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
