Barco EN69 Zoom Long-Throw Projection Lens: Bragi and Loki CinemaScope Fit

Nov 01, 2026, 02:50:26 UTC

Barco Original Lens EN69 Zoom is an original factory optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors, categorized as a long throw (Long Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 6.50-9.10:1. The factory compatibility list covers 2 models; before installation, simply verify against the chassis model and panel size—no adapter rings needed to make it fit. The value of an original factory lens lies not in a few extra rows of numbers in the spec sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated from the factory to the optical path and lens mount of that model series: once mounted, the image circle, edge uniformity, and focusing travel are all design values, so there is no need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

The above specifications are subject to the original factory specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the spec table, please check with us using the chassis model. Ordering directly based on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.

II. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original factory lens is a zoom lens (6.50-9.10:1), so the same image size corresponds to a range of distances, and any position within that range can be brought into focus during installation.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 13.97 – 19.56 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 16.77 – 23.48 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 20.96 – 29.35 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 27.95 – 39.13 m

The above is the net distance from the front face of the lens to the screen, without accounting for heat dissipation and cabling space at the rear of the chassis. Calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual values are subject to on-site measurement and the original factory manual.

Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: closer to the near end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly loose; closer to the far end, the edges are crisper and the brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue allows, it is recommended to place the lens in the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest position on the focus ring, then fine-tune the shift.

III. Compatible Models (2 units)

The table below is taken from the original factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are filled in from the model database; entries that cannot be retrieved are marked "—" with no speculation.

ModelBrightnessResolution
Bragi2600 lumens3840x2160
Loki CinemaScope12000 lumens3840x2160

For models not on the list, please send us photos of the chassis nameplate and the existing lens for verification—platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but the risk of ordering based on a similar model is not worth taking.

Throw Ratios for Different Model Series

When the same EN69 Zoom is mounted on the series listed below, the nominal throw ratio differs, so selection should be based on the series of the actual chassis.

IV. Three Things to Confirm Before Replacement

  • Confirm the chassis chip and resolution.Original factory lenses are designed for a specific panel size; when the panel specification differs, the image circle cannot cover the full area, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after mounting.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 6.50-9.10:1; apply it to your venue dimensions using the table in Section II. A fixed-focus lens offers no margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of leeway at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism.Original factory lenses are calibrated to the mount of that model series, and you must hear the lock engage fully after mounting; a skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by an incompletely locked mount, not by a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo of the chassis nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verifying against the actual items is the safest approach.
