BenQ original 5J.JDH37.021 Standard Zoom lens, 1.54:1–1.93:1 throw ratio, compatible with HT6050, PU9220, PU9220+ and PX9210. Supply for bulk projects.

BenQ Original Lens 5J.JDH37.021 Standard Zoom is an original optical accessory for BenQ business projectors, featuring a standard throw ratio of 1.54:1 - 1.93:1. The factory compatibility list covers 4 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring workaround is needed. The value of an original lens lies not in the additional figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their design values, eliminating the need for keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | BenQ (BenQ) |
| Lens Model | 5J.JDH37.021 Standard Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.54:1 - 1.93:1 |

The above specifications are subject to the original manufacturer’s specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not listed in the specification sheet, please verify them with us using the exact projector model. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (1.54:1 - 1.93:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. It can focus at any distance within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 3.31 – 4.15 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 3.97 – 4.98 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 4.97 – 6.22 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 6.62 – 8.30 m |
The distances above are clear distances from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space for rear cooling and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual on-site measurements and the original manufacturer’s manual take precedence.
Image quality varies between the two ends of the zoom range: images are brighter and the edges slightly softer near the close end; edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower near the long end. Where the venue allows, use the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Projector Models (4 Models)
The following table is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are listed according to the projector model database; values that cannot be obtained are shown as «—» without speculation.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| HT6050 | 2000 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| PU9220 | 5000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| PU9220+ | 5000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| PX9210 | 6000 lumens | 1024x768 |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Projector platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but the risks of ordering based only on a similar model are not worth taking.
Throw Ratios for Different Model Series
The rated throw ratio varies when the same 5J.JDH37.021 Standard Zoom lens is installed on the following series. Select the value based on the series of the projector in use.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.54:1 - 1.93:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Check the projector’s imaging chip and resolution. Each original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 1.54:1 - 1.93:1. Use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, while zoom lenses should also allow an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount used on that projector series. You must hear it lock into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by the lock not being fully engaged, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual items is the most reliable approach.
