Digital Projection SL-125 Standard Throw Lens Guide: HIGHlite Laser WUXGA Compatible

Digital Projection SL-125 Standard Throw Lens Guide: HIGHlite Laser WUXGA Compatible

Digital Projection Original Lens SL-125 is an original optical accessory for Digital Projection professional projectors. It is a standard throw lens (Standard Throw), with a throw ratio of 1.12:1 (fixed-focus), designed for the 0.95inch 3DLP(HIGHlite) inch panel. The original compatibility list covers 1 model. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; there is no need to use adapter rings as a workaround. The value of an original lens lies not in the extra figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that its optical path and mount are calibrated to that projector series at the factory: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's published specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not included in the specifications table; please verify them with us using the projector model. Placing an order solely because a model appears similar risks a fitment problem.

II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This original lens has a fixed throw ratio of 1.12:1 (fixed-focus). Installation distance varies linearly with image size, with no adjustment margin, so measurements must be accurate before installation.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 2.41 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 2.89 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 3.61 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 4.82 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not allow for space behind the projector for cooling and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image aspect ratio; actual distances should be confirmed through on-site measurement and in accordance with the manufacturer's manual.

III. Compatible Models (1 Model)

The following table is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable values are shown as “—”, and no assumptions are made.

For models not on the list, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens so we can verify compatibility. Although platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, the risk of ordering based solely on a similar model name is not worth taking.

Throw Ratios for Different Model Series

The same SL-125 lens has different nominal throw ratios depending on the projector series. Use the value corresponding to the series of your actual projector when selecting a lens.

IV. Three Things to Confirm Before Replacement

  • The panel size must match.SL-125 is designed for the 0.95inch 3DLP(HIGHlite) inch panel. Even if the lens fits projectors with a different panel size or resolution, the image circle and edge illumination may be compromised.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. With a nominal throw ratio of 1.12:1 (fixed-focus), use the table in Section II to match the dimensions of your installation site. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, and even zoom lenses should have 10–20 cm reserved at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount used on that projector series. After installation, you must hear the lens lock into place. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by an incompletely engaged lock, rather than a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the actual equipment is the safest approach.
