Original Sharp XP-54ZL Zoom telephoto lens, 1.24-2.01:1 throw ratio, fits five Sharp projector models. Available through authorized channels for bulk project orders.

Sharp Original Lens XP-54ZL Zoom is an original optical accessory for Sharp engineering projectors. It is a long-throw (Long Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 1.24-2.01:1. The factory compatibility list covers 5 models; before installation, simply check the projector model and panel size, without having to make do with adapter rings. The value of an original lens lies not in the extra figures on a specification sheet, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and lens mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their designed values, eliminating the need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Sharp (Sharp) |
| Lens Model | XP-54ZL Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.24-2.01:1 |
| Product Type | Long Throw |
| Compatible Models | 5 units |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for damage not caused by the user, subject to the date on the shipping receipt |
These specifications are subject to the original manufacturer's specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not listed in the specifications table, please provide the projector model so we can verify them. Ordering solely on the basis of a similar model risks a lens that will not fit.
II. Calculating Installation Distance Using the Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio between installation distance and image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (1.24-2.01:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances, and it can focus throughout that range when installed.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.67 – 4.32 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 3.20 – 5.19 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 4.00 – 6.48 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 5.33 – 8.64 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space behind the projector for ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual values should be verified on site and according to the original manufacturer's manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short-throw end, the image is brighter but the edges are slightly softer; toward the long-throw end, the edges are sharper but brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, use the focus ring to find the sharpest image position, then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Models (5 Units)
The table below is taken from the original manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where data is unavailable, “—” is shown rather than making assumptions.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| XP-A155U-B | 14000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| XP-A155U-W | 14000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| XP-A175U-B | 16000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| XP-A175U-W | 16000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| XP-A201U-B | 20000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
For a model not included in the list, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification. Platforms from the same generation often share a mount, but ordering based solely on a similar model designation is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratio by Projector Series
The nominal throw ratio varies when the same XP-54ZL Zoom lens is installed on the series listed below, so select the value according to the actual projector series.
| Projector Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.24-2.01:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full frame, resulting in vignetting or edge illumination loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.24-2.01:1; use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses provide no margin, and zoom lenses should also leave 10–20 cm of margin at both ends of the range.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the lens mount of that projector series, and you must hear the lock engage after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete lock engagement, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the physical items is the safest option.
