Digital Projection SL-126 Standard Lens for HIGHlite Laser 1080P and HIGHlite Laser WUXGA

Digital Projection SL-126 Standard Lens for HIGHlite Laser 1080P and HIGHlite Laser WUXGA

Digital Projection Genuine Lens SL-126 is a genuine optical accessory for Digital Projection engineering projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a 1.16-1.49:1 throw ratio (zoom), designed for 0.95inch 3DLP(HIGHlite) panels. The factory compatibility list covers 2 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size, with no need for an adapter-ring workaround. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra figures in a specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory for the optical path and mount of the corresponding projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel all meet their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

The above specifications are subject to the official factory specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not listed in the specification table; please verify them with us based on the projector model. Placing an order solely because the model is similar carries the risk of a lens that will not fit.

II. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance

A throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens is a zoom lens (1.16-1.49:1 (zoom)), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can focus anywhere within that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mapprox. 2.49 – 3.20 m
120 inches2.58 mapprox. 2.99 – 3.84 m
150 inches3.22 mapprox. 3.74 – 4.81 m
200 inches4.30 mapprox. 4.99 – 6.41 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen, excluding the space required for rear cooling and wiring on the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual distances should be verified on site and are subject to the factory manual.

Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: near the short-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; near the long-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

III. Compatible Models (2 models)

The table below is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; values that cannot be found are shown as “—”, with no assumptions made.

For compatibility with a model not on the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification—platforms from the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based only on a similar model is not worth the risk.

Throw Ratio by Model Series

The nominal throw ratio varies by series when the same SL-126 is installed. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series of the actual projector.

IV. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Make sure the panel size matches. SL-126 is designed for the 0.95inch 3DLP(HIGHlite) panel. Even if the mount fits, a projector with a different panel size or resolution may experience issues with the image circle and edge illumination.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.16-1.49:1 (zoom). Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. A fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, while a zoom lens should also allow an extra 10–20 cm at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The genuine lens is calibrated to the projector mount for that series. After installation, you must hear the locking mechanism engage. A skewed image or unsharp edges usually indicate that the lock is not fully engaged, rather than a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the physical items is the most reliable approach.
