Genuine Appotronics AL-TL128MA Standard Zoom lens, 1.00-1.60:1 throw ratio, for AL-MH620A, AL-MH720A, AL-MK620A, AL-TU22KA and AL-TU26KA. Bulk orders welcome.

Appotronics Original Lens AL-TL128MA Standard Zoom is an original optical accessory for Appotronics professional projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a throw ratio of 1.00-1.60:1. The official compatibility list covers 5 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring is needed. The value of an original lens lies not in the additional figures in the specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of projectors in the relevant series: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet their design values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications

The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not listed in the specifications, please contact us with the projector model. Placing an order based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
Throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (1.00-1.60:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. It can be brought into focus at any distance within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 2.15 – 3.44 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.58 – 4.13 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 3.22 – 5.16 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 4.30 – 6.88 m |
The values above represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not allow for cooling clearance or cable connections behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; verify actual distances on site and against the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: near the short-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; near the long-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. When the venue allows, target the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (5 Models)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's official compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where data is unavailable, — is shown, and no values are estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| AL-MH620A | — | — |
| AL-MH720A | — | — |
| AL-MK620A | — | — |
| AL-TU22KA | — | — |
| AL-TU26KA | — | — |
To verify whether a model not on the list is compatible, send us photos of the projector nameplate and current lens. Platforms from the same generation often share a mount, but the risk of ordering based solely on a similar model is not worth taking.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio varies by series when the same AL-TL128MA Standard Zoom is installed on the series shown below. Use the value for the series of the actual projector when selecting a lens.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.00-1.60:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specification differs, the image circle cannot provide full coverage, causing vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. The nominal throw ratio of this lens is 1.00-1.60:1; use the table in Section 2 with the dimensions of your installation site. A fixed-focus lens has no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens should leave 10–20 cm of extra range at both ends.
- Check the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of projectors in that series. After installation, it must audibly engage in the fully locked position. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by an issue with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the nameplate on the existing lens, and send them to us. Checking the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
