Canon RS-SL01ST Standard Zoom long-throw lens for 17 Canon models, 1.49-2.24:1 throw ratio. Fits 4K5020Z/4K6020Z/4K6021Z. Genuine supply for bulk projects.

Canon Original Lens RS-SL01ST Standard Zoom is an original optical accessory for Canon engineering projectors. It is a long-throw (Long Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 1.49-2.24:1. The manufacturer's compatibility list covers 17 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring workaround is required. The value of an original lens lies not in the additional figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and mount of that model series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing range are all at their design values, with no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications

The above specifications are based on the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification table, please contact us with the projector model. Placing an order based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (1.49-2.24:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances, and it can be focused at any distance within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 3.20 – 4.82 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 3.84 – 5.78 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 4.81 – 7.22 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 6.41 – 9.63 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not allow for rear projector ventilation and cable connection space. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; in practice, follow on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the shorter-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the longer-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. Where the venue allows, it is recommended to use the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

To check whether a model not on the list is compatible, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the current lens for verification. Projectors from the same generation often share a mount, but it is not worth the risk of ordering based solely on a similar model name.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The rated throw ratio of the same RS-SL01ST Standard Zoom varies by the series listed below. Use the value for the series of the projector in question when selecting a lens.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.49-2.24:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector panel and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. With different panel specifications, the image circle cannot provide full coverage, causing vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 1.49-2.24:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. A fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, while a zoom lens should still allow 10–20 cm of adjustment at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of that model series. After installation, you must hear it click into the locked position. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the current lens nameplate, then send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the most reliable.
