Panasonic ET-EMW400 original lens, 0.690-0.950:1 throw ratio, fits 19 Panasonic models including PT-MZ20KL and PT-MZ17KL. Bulk project orders welcome.

Panasonic Original Lens ET-EMW400 is an official optical accessory for Panasonic professional projectors. It is a standard-throw (Standard Throw) lens with a 0.690-0.950:1 throw ratio for 1.0" 3LCD panels. The official compatibility list covers 19 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—there is no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an original lens lies not in a few extra rows in the specifications, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and mount of the relevant projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel all meet their design specifications, eliminating the need for keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Panasonic(Panasonic) |
| Lens Model | ET-EMW400 |
| Throw Ratio | 0.690-0.950:1 |
| Product Type | Standard Throw |
| Compatible Panel | 1.0" 3LCD |
| Supported Models | 19 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user is eligible for after-sales service, based on the date on the shipping receipt |
The above specifications are based on the manufacturer's official specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not shown in the specifications table. Please provide your projector model so we can verify these details. Placing an order solely because the model appears similar carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens is a zoom lens (0.690-0.950:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. It can be focused at any position within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 1.48 – 2.04 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 1.78 – 2.45 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 2.23 – 3.06 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 2.97 – 4.08 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not allow for rear housing cooling clearance or space for cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances should be confirmed by on-site measurement and the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long end, the edges are more defined and brightness decreases slightly. Where the venue allows, use the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest image using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
III. Compatible Models (19 Models)
The table below is based on the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where data is unavailable, “—” is shown, and no values are estimated.

For compatibility confirmation with a model not on the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and existing lens. Projectors of the same platform generation often share the same mount, but placing an order solely because the model names are similar is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratios by Projector Series
The nominal throw ratio varies by projector series when the same ET-EMW400 lens is used. Select the value based on the series of the actual projector.
| Projector Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.690-0.950:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Make sure the panel size matches.ET-EMW400 is designed for 1.0" 3LCD panels. Even if the mount fits, projectors with a different panel size or resolution may have problems with the image circle and edge illumination.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.690-0.950:1. Use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens should have a 10–20 cm margin at both ends of the range.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series. You must hear it click into the locked position after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
