Genuine Barco R9802300 Short Zoom short-throw lens, 0.65-0.75:1 throw ratio, fits 15 Barco projector models including G50-W6. Bulk orders available.

Barco Original Lens R9802300 Short Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors, in the short throw category, with a throw ratio of 0.65-0.75:1. The factory compatibility list covers 15 models; before installation, simply check the model number on the body and the panel size — no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in a few extra rows of specifications, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and mount of that model series: once fitted, the image circle, edge uniformity and focus travel are all design values, so there is no need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | R9802300 Short Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 0.65-0.75:1 |
| Product Type | Short Throw |

The above specifications are subject to the original manufacturer specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance and mount type are not listed in the specification table; please verify them with us based on the projector model, as ordering on the basis of a similar model number carries the risk of the lens not fitting.
2. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This OEM lens is a zoom lens (0.65-0.75:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of distances, and any position within that range can be focused during installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inch | 2.15 m | approx. 1.40 – 1.61 m |
| 120 inch | 2.58 m | approx. 1.68 – 1.93 m |
| 150 inch | 3.22 m | approx. 2.10 – 2.42 m |
| 200 inch | 4.30 m | approx. 2.79 – 3.22 m |
The above is the clear distance from the front face of the lens to the screen, excluding space for rear cooling and cabling. Calculated on a 16:10 image; actual values are subject to on-site measurement and the original manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: closer to the near end the image is brighter with slightly softer edges; closer to the far end the edges are crisper and brightness drops slightly. Where the venue allows, it is recommended to position the lens in the middle of the range; after installation, first find the sharpest position on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (15 units)
The table below is taken from the factory compatibility list; brightness and resolution are back-filled from the model database, and entries marked "—" are those that could not be retrieved. No figures are guessed.

| G60-W8-W | 7300 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| G62-W11-B | 9500 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| G62-W11-W | 9500 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| G62-W14-B | 11500 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| G62-W14-W | 11500 lumens | 1920x1200 |

| G62-W9-W | 8000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
For models not on the list, please send us a photo of the nameplate on the projector body and of the existing lens so we can verify compatibility — platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but the risk of ordering on the basis of a similar model number is not worth taking.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
When the same R9802300 Short Zoom is fitted to the series listed below, the nominal throw ratio varies; for model selection, use the value for the series the projector actually belongs to.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.65-0.75:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the panel and resolution of the projector.OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size; when the panel specification differs, the image circle cannot cover the full area, and the result is vignetting or light loss at the edges.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.65-0.75:1; use the table in Section 2 to work it out against your own venue dimensions; a fixed-focus lens leaves no margin, and even a zoom lens needs 10–20 cm of allowance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism.OEM lenses are calibrated to the mount of that model series, and you must hear the lock engage after fitting; a skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by the lens not being fully locked, not by a fault in the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the nameplate on the existing lens and send them to us — checking against the actual hardware is the most reliable approach.
