Christie 130-101103-XX Zoom Standard-Throw Lens for Mirage WQ-L/WU-L

Genuine Christie Lens 130-101103-XX Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Christie engineering projectors, offering a standard throw (Standard Throw) and a 1.28-1.71:1 throw ratio. The OEM compatibility list covers 2 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; no adapter ring is needed. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra figures in its specification sheet, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and lens mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their designed values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

The above specifications are subject to the factory specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification sheet, please contact us with the projector model for verification. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk of an incompatible fit.

2. Calculating Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine zoom lens (1.28-1.71:1) covers a range of installation distances for any given image size and can be focused at any distance within that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mApprox. 2.75 – 3.68 m
120 inches2.58 mApprox. 3.30 – 4.41 m
150 inches3.22 mApprox. 4.13 – 5.51 m
200 inches4.30 mApprox. 5.50 – 7.35 m

The distances above are clear distances from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not allow for cooling or cable-connection space behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual values are subject to on-site measurements and the factory manual.

Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer near the close end, while the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly near the far end. Where the venue allows, use the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest position on the focus ring first, then fine-tune the lens shift.

3. Compatible Models (2 Units)

The following table is taken from the OEM compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable values are shown as — and are not estimated.

To verify whether a model outside the list is compatible, send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Projectors from the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based on a similar model is not worth the risk.

Throw Ratios by Model Series

The nominal throw ratio of the same 130-101103-XX Zoom lens varies by projector series. Use the ratio corresponding to the series of the actual projector when selecting a lens.

4. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution.OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the panel, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.28-1.71:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, while zoom lenses also require an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism.OEM lenses are calibrated to the lens mount of the corresponding projector series. You must hear the lens lock into place after installation. A skewed image and soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, send us one photo of the projector nameplate and one photo of the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest option.
