Christie OEM Lens 140-101103-xx Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Christie engineering projectors, featuring a standard throw (Standard Throw) and a 0.95-1.22:1 throw ratio. The OEM compatibility list covers 28 projector models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; there is no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra specifications in the datasheet, but in the fact that it is calibrated at the factory to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, eliminating the need to compensate for image quality with keystone correction.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Christie (Christie) |
| Lens Model | 140-101103-xx Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 0.95-1.22:1 |
| Product Type | Standard Throw (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 28 units |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user is eligible for after-sales service, subject to the date on the shipping invoice |
These specifications are subject to the OEM specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification table, please provide your projector model so we can verify compatibility. Ordering solely on the basis of a similar model number carries a risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens has a zoom range of 0.95-1.22:1, so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances. Focus can be achieved at any point within this range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.04 – 2.62 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 2.45 – 3.15 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 3.06 – 3.93 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 4.08 – 5.25 m |
These distances represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space required for rear housing ventilation and cable connections. The calculations are based on a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual values are subject to on-site measurements and the OEM manual.
Image quality differs between the two ends of the zoom range: images are brighter with slightly softer edges toward the short end, while edges are sharper with slightly lower brightness toward the wide end. Where the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

To determine whether a model not on the list is compatible, send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Projectors from the same generation often share the same mount, but the risk of ordering based on a similar model number is not worth taking.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio varies by series when the same 140-101103-xx Zoom lens is used. Select the value based on the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.95-1.22:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.95-1.22:1. Use the table in Section 2 to match the dimensions of your venue. A fixed-focus lens provides no adjustment margin, while a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of margin at both ends.
- Verify the mount and lock. OEM lenses are calibrated to the mount of the corresponding projector series and must be heard locking into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one photo of the existing lens nameplate and send them to us. Verification against the actual products is the most reliable approach.
