Genuine Optoma BX-DL200 Zoom lens, 1.54-1.93:1 standard throw, compatible with 13 Optoma models including EH503, EH503e, EH505 and EH505-B. Bulk orders welcome.

Optoma Genuine Lens BX-DL200 Zoom is a genuine optical accessory for Optoma business projectors, featuring a standard throw (Standard Throw) and a throw ratio of 1.54-1.93:1. The manufacturer's official model compatibility list covers 13 models, so simply verify the projector model and panel size before installation; no adapter ring is needed. The value of a genuine lens lies not in the extra rows of figures in the specification table, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of that model series: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Optoma (Optoma) |
| Lens Model | BX-DL200 Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.54-1.93:1 |
| Product Type | Standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Projector Models | 13 projector models |
| Warranty | 12 months; non-user-caused damage is eligible for after-sales service, subject to the date on the shipping document |
The above specifications are based on the manufacturer's official specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification table, please verify them with us using the projector model; ordering based solely on a similar model risks a fit failure.
2. Calculating the Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This genuine lens is a zoom lens (1.54-1.93:1), so a given image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can focus anywhere within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approximately 3.31 – 4.15 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approximately 3.97 – 4.98 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approximately 4.97 – 6.22 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approximately 6.62 – 8.30 m |
These are the clear distances from the front surface of the lens to the screen, excluding the space needed for ventilation and cable connections behind the projector. Calculated for a 16:10 image format, the actual distances should be confirmed by on-site measurement and against the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: at the nearer end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; at the farther end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. Where the venue allows, we recommend using the middle of the range. After installation, first find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (13 Models)
The following table is taken from the manufacturer's official model compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; “—” indicates data that could not be retrieved, and no estimates are made.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| EH503 | 5200 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| EH503e | 5200 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| EH505 | 5000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| EH505-B | 5000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| EH505e | 5000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| HD8600 | 1600 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| TW6000 | 4200 lumens | 1280x800 |
| TW775 | 4500 lumens | 1280x800 |
| TX7000 | 4800 lumens | 1024x768 |
| TX785 | 5000 lumens | 1024x768 |
| W505 | 5200 lumens | 1280x800 |
| X605 | 6000 lumens | 1024x768 |
| X605e | 6000 lumens | 1024x768 |
To determine whether a model not included in the list is compatible, please send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens for verification—same-generation platforms often share the same mount, but the risks of ordering based on a similar model are not worth taking.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The nominal throw ratio is not the same when the same BX-DL200 Zoom lens is used with the series listed below. When selecting a lens, use the value for the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.54-1.93:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging chip and resolution. A genuine lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.54-1.93:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your venue; a fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens should allow for 10–20 cm of extra clearance at both ends of the range.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. A genuine lens is calibrated to the mount of that model series, and you must hear the lock engage after installation. A skewed image or soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of each nameplate—the projector and the existing lens—and send them to us. Checking the details against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
