Christie 140-119102-XX Zoom Standard-Throw Lens for 26 Models incl. DHD1075-GS, DHD555-GS White

Christie OEM Lens 140-119102-XX Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for Christie professional projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a throw ratio of 0.75-0.95:1. The OEM compatibility list covers 26 projector models, so before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no adapter rings are needed. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the additional rows of specifications, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel are all at their specified design values, eliminating the need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

The above specifications are subject to the OEM specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the table, please contact us with the projector model. Placing an order based solely on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.

II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens is a zoom lens (0.75-0.95:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can focus anywhere within that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mApprox. 1.61 – 2.04 m
120 inches2.58 mApprox. 1.93 – 2.45 m
150 inches3.22 mApprox. 2.42 – 3.06 m
200 inches4.30 mApprox. 3.22 – 4.08 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include rear clearance for projector cooling and cable connections. Calculated for a 16:10 image; confirm the actual distance by on-site measurement and in accordance with the OEM manual.

Image quality varies at the two zoom extremes: the short-throw end produces a brighter image with slightly softer edges, while the long-throw end delivers sharper edges with slightly lower brightness. Where the venue allows, use the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.

For compatibility with a model not on the list, send us photos of the projector nameplate and current lens for verification. Projector platforms of the same generation often share a mount, but ordering based solely on a similar model is not worth the risk.

Throw Ratio by Projector Series

The nominal throw ratio of the same 140-119102-XX Zoom lens varies among the series listed below. Select the value based on the actual projector series.

IV. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Confirm the projector panel and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle will not cover the full image area, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
  • Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.75-0.95:1. Use the table in Section II and apply it to your venue dimensions. Fixed-focus lenses offer no adjustment margin, and zoom lenses should also allow an extra 10–20 cm at both ends.
  • Verify the mount and locking mechanism. OEM lenses are calibrated to the mount of the corresponding projector series, and you must hear the lens click into the locked position after installation. A skewed image and soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.

If you are unsure, take one photo of the projector nameplate and one of the nameplate on the current lens, and send them to us. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
