Optoma Original Lens BX-DLWT1 Short Fixed is an OEM optical accessory for Optoma engineering projectors. It is a short-throw (Short Throw) lens with a throw ratio of 0.78:1. The OEM compatibility list covers 3 models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—there is no need to improvise with adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the extra figures in a specification sheet, but in its factory calibration to the optical path and mount of that projector series: once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel all match their design values, so keystone correction is not needed to compensate for image quality.

I. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Optoma (Optoma) |
| Lens model | BX-DLWT1 Short Fixed |
| Throw ratio | 0.78:1 |
| Product type | Short-throw (Short Throw) |
| Compatible models | 3 projector models |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for damage not caused by the user, subject to the date on the dispatch documentation |
The above specifications are subject to the original manufacturer's specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not listed in the specification table, please contact us with the projector model for verification; ordering directly based on a similar model carries the risk that the lens will not fit.
II. Converting Throw Ratio to Installation Distance
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens is fixed-focus (0.78:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with image size, with no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.
| Image size | Image width | Required installation distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 1.68 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 2.01 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 2.52 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 3.35 m |
The distances above are clear distances from the front face of the lens to the screen and do not include space behind the projector for heat dissipation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; in practice, use on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual.
III. Compatible Projector Models (3 Models)
The table below is taken from the OEM compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; where the data is unavailable, “—” is shown rather than estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| PRO8000 | 5800 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| Europe ProScene EH7500 | — | — |
| TH7500-NL | 6000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering based on a similar model is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratios by Model Series
The rated throw ratio varies by series when the same BX-DLWT1 Short Fixed lens is used with the series listed below, so select the value based on the actual projector series.
| Model series | Throw ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 0.78:1 |
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector panel and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 0.78:1; use the table in Section II to calculate the distance for your venue. As it is fixed-focus, there is no adjustment margin; even with a zoom lens, allow 10–20 cm at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. OEM lenses are calibrated to the mount of the corresponding projector series. After installation, you must hear the lens click into the locked position. A skewed image or soft edges usually indicates that the lens is not fully locked, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, photograph the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate and send both images to us. Verification against the actual items is the safest approach.
