BenQ Original Lens LS2LT2 Long Zoom is an OEM optical accessory for BenQ business projectors, featuring a long throw (Long Throw) with a throw ratio of 3.00:1 - 5.00:1. The factory compatibility list covers 2 projector models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an OEM lens lies not in a few extra specification figures, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated for the optical path and mount of the corresponding projector series. Once installed, image circle coverage, edge illumination, and focusing travel all meet the design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | BenQ(BenQ) |
| Lens Model | LS2LT2 Long Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 3.00:1 - 5.00:1 |
| Product Type | Long Throw |
| Compatible Models | 2 units |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user is covered by after-sales service, subject to the date on the shipping invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the factory specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specification table, please check with us using the projector model. Ordering directly based on a similar model carries the risk of the lens not fitting.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
Throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This OEM lens is a zoom lens (3.00:1 - 5.00:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can focus anywhere within that range during installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 6.45 – 10.75 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 7.74 – 12.90 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 9.67 – 16.12 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 12.90 – 21.50 m |
These figures represent the net distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space behind the projector for ventilation and cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual distances are subject to on-site measurements and the factory manual.
Image quality differs between the two ends of the zoom range: toward the near end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where venue conditions allow, placing the lens in the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, first find the sharpest position using the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Models (2 units)
The following table is taken from the factory compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; entries that cannot be verified are shown as “—” and are not guessed.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| LU9235 | 6000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| PX9230 | 6000 lumens | 1024x768 |
To check whether a model outside the list is supported, send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms of the same generation often share mounts, but the risk of ordering based only on a similar model number is not worth taking.
Throw Ratios Across Projector Series
The rated throw ratio of the same LS2LT2 Long Zoom varies by projector series. When selecting a lens, use the value that applies to the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 3.00:1 - 5.00:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Check the projector chip and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full area, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a rated throw ratio of 3.00:1 - 5.00:1. Use the table in Section 2 and apply it to the dimensions of your venue. A fixed-focus lens provides no adjustment margin, while even a zoom lens should have 10–20 cm of margin at both ends of the range.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. OEM lenses are calibrated for the mount of the corresponding projector series. After installation, you must hear the lens lock into place. Image skew and soft edges are usually caused by incomplete locking rather than a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
