CA02 is a medium-to-long-throw lens for engineering projectors (Hisense and Winmate), with a throw ratio of 1.7–2.2:1. It is compatible with 6 projector models from 1 model series. This article brings together the lens specifications, installation distance, model compatibility list, and key replacement considerations.
1. Lens Specifications
| Model | CA02 |
| Internal Model | — |
| Series | CA Series |
| Throw Ratio | 1.7–2.2:1 |
| Compatible Models | 6 models / 1 model series |
| Warranty | 12 months; damage not caused by the user is eligible for after-sales service, based on the date shown on the shipping document |
2. Calculating Installation Distance from the Throw Ratio
A throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This is a zoom lens (1.7–2.2:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and focus can be achieved anywhere within the applicable range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 3.65 – 4.73 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 4.39 – 5.68 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 5.48 – 7.09 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 7.31 – 9.46 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not allow for heat-dissipation and cabling space behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; in practice, rely on on-site measurements and the manual.
Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the shorter-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the longer-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness drops slightly. Where the installation environment permits, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, first find the sharpest setting on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift—adjusting both at once makes precise alignment difficult.
3. Compatible Models (6 Models: Hisense and Winmate)
The table below is arranged by model production date, from newest to oldest. It lists each model's resolution, brightness, and zoom ratio for the original lens, making it easy to identify the right option for a project's requirements.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution | Zoom Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| C-4K650 | 6500 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
| P60 | 6000 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
| HLP650 | 6500 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
| P60W | 6300 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
| P65 | 6500 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
| P70 | 7000 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
Common Features of These Models
The standard lenses supplied with these 6 models have varying throw ratios; the exact ratio Depends on the lens. The 1.7–2.2:1 model featured in this article effectively adjusts the focal range, allowing the same projection distance to produce different image sizes—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. Full lens-shift capability is retained, so the image can still be aligned after the zoom range is adjusted.
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Check the panel size. The panel specifications for this model have not yet been added to our records. Please send us a photo of the projector nameplate so we can verify them.
- Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally compatible across models on the same platform generation, but the locking latch position varies between generations. If the image is skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the lock is usually not fully engaged; this is more likely than a problem with the lens itself.
- Allow extra margin in the zoom range. When measuring the distance, leave an additional 10–20 cm beyond the range endpoints, as transportation and installation variances may cause the final position to fall outside the usable range.
For compatibility with a model not on the list, it is safer to send us photos of the projector nameplate and original lens for verification. Models on the same platform generation often share the same interface, but the risk of ordering based only on a similar model designation is not worth taking.
