SC2712 is a medium-to-long-throw lens for the 0.65/0.66/0.67 panel group (Winmate), featuring a 1.26–1.95:1 throw ratio and lens shift. It is compatible with 1 projector model across 1 model series. This guide presents the lens specifications, installation distances, model compatibility list, and replacement considerations in one place.

Lens shift is the key differentiator of this lens. The horizontal 110% and vertical 50% shift ranges allow the projector to be installed off the screen’s central axis, with lens shift repositioning the image without the need for keystone correction. Keystone correction comes at a cost—each correction step reduces the number of effective pixels and can blur text edges. In professional installations, always use lens shift rather than keystone correction when possible; this is essential to image quality.
II. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of installation distance to image width. This is a zoom lens (1.26–1.95:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can focus at any point within that range.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.71 – 4.19 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 3.25 – 5.03 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 4.06 – 6.29 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 5.42 – 8.38 m |
The figures above represent the clear distance from the front lens element to the screen and do not account for heat-dissipation or cable-routing clearance behind the chassis. The values are based on a 16:10 image; actual distances must be verified through on-site measurements and the manual.
Image quality varies at either end of the zoom range: near the short-throw end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; near the long-throw end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where space permits, aim for the middle of the range. After installation, find the sharpest position using the focus ring first, then fine-tune the lens shift—adjusting both variables at the same time makes precise alignment difficult.
III. Compatible Models (1 Model, Winmate)
The table below is ordered by model production date, from newest to oldest, and includes each model’s resolution, brightness, and factory-lens zoom ratio for quick identification according to project requirements.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution | Zoom Ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| C-4K1200 | 12000 lumens | 4K 3840×2160 | — |
Common Features of These Models
The standard lens supplied with this model generally has a throw ratio of Depends on the lens. The 1.26–1.95:1 ratio of the model featured in this article represents an adjustment to the focal range, allowing the same projection distance to produce different image sizes—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. It also preserves the full lens-shift capability, so the image can still be aligned after the focal range is adjusted.
IV. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Make sure the panel and resolution match. This model is designed for a 0.67 inch panel. Projectors with a different panel size or resolution will vary somewhat in projection performance; the safest approach is to check the nameplate on the chassis before installation.
- Check the interfaces and locking mechanism. Interfaces generally offer good compatibility within the same platform generation, but the locking-clip positions vary by generation. If the image appears skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the most likely cause is incomplete engagement of the locking mechanism rather than a problem with the lens itself.
- Allow for lens-shift margin in the installation. The shift ranges provide some installation flexibility, but edge image quality declines at the limits. Keep actual lens-shift use within 70% of the rated values.
For models not on the list, it is safer to send us a photo of the chassis nameplate and the original lens for verification—models on the same platform generation often share the same interfaces, but the risk of ordering based only on a similar model number is not worth taking.
