Zorsika · Model A22-704-067 · 2026-10-29

The A22-704-067 is a long-throw lens for engineering projectors from Optoma and Christie, with a throw ratio of 3.7–5.25:1. It is compatible with 4 models across 1 model series. This article presents the lens specifications, installation distance, model compatibility list, and key replacement considerations in one place.

2. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This is a zoom lens (3.7–5.25:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and it can focus throughout that range.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mApprox. 7.96 – 11.29 m
120 inches2.58 mApprox. 9.55 – 13.54 m
150 inches3.22 mApprox. 11.93 – 16.93 m
200 inches4.30 mApprox. 15.91 – 22.57 m

These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not allow for heat-dissipation or cable-connection space behind the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances are subject to on-site measurements and the user manual.

Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: images are brighter with slightly softer edges toward the short-throw end, while edges are sharper with slightly lower brightness toward the long-throw end. Where site conditions allow, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, first find the sharpest position on the focus ring, then fine-tune the lens shift. Adjusting both variables at the same time makes precise alignment difficult.

3. Compatible Models (4 Models from Optoma and Christie)

The following table is arranged by model production date, from newest to oldest. It includes the resolution, brightness, and throw ratio of the standard lens supplied with each model, enabling you to quickly identify the appropriate option for your project.

Common Features of These Models

The throw ratios of the standard lenses supplied with the 4 models vary depending on the lens. The 3.7–5.25:1 ratio offered by the model in this article effectively extends the focal-length range, allowing different image sizes at the same projection distance—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. Full lens-shift capability is also retained, allowing the image to be properly aligned after adjusting the throw ratio.

4. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Verify the panel size. The panel specifications for this model are not yet included in our database. Please send us a photo of the projector nameplate for verification.
  • Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally interchangeable within the same platform generation, but the locking latch positions may differ between generations. If the image appears skewed or the edges remain soft after installation, the lock is usually not fully engaged; this is generally not an issue with the lens itself.
  • Allow extra margin for the zoom range. When measuring the distance, allow an additional 10–20 cm beyond each end of the range, as transportation and installation tolerances may place the lens outside that range.

For models not included in the list, it is safer to send us photos of the projector nameplate and original lens for verification. Interfaces are often shared within the same platform generation, but the risks of ordering based solely on a similar model are not worth taking.
