JVC Original Lens GL-MS4011SG Short Fixed is an original optical accessory for JVC professional projectors. It is a standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) with a 1.10:1 throw ratio. The factory compatibility list covers two models; before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size—no adapter ring is needed. The value of an original lens lies not in the extra figures in the specification sheet, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focus travel all meet the design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | JVC (JVC) |
| Lens Model | GL-MS4011SG Short Fixed |
| Throw Ratio | 1.10:1 |
| Product Type | Standard-throw lens (Standard Throw) |
| Compatible Models | 2 models |
| Warranty | 12 months; after-sales service is available for damage not caused by the user, subject to the date on the purchase invoice |
The above specifications are subject to the manufacturer's specifications. Mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type are not listed in the specification table. Please verify them with us using the projector model, as ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk of an incompatible fit.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original lens has a fixed focus (1.10:1), so the installation distance varies linearly with image size, leaving no room for adjustment. Accurate measurements are essential before installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | approx. 2.37 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | approx. 2.84 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | approx. 3.55 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | approx. 4.73 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not include space for rear chassis cooling or cable connections. They are calculated for a 16:10 aspect ratio; actual on-site measurements and the manufacturer's manual take precedence.
3. Compatible Models (2 Models)
The following table is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable data is marked “—” and is not estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| JVC DLA-SH7NLG | — | — |
| JVC DLA-VS4010NLG | — | — |
To check whether a model outside the list is compatible, please send us a photo of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms of the same generation often share the same mount, but ordering solely on the basis of a similar model is not worth the risk.
Throw Ratio by Projector Series
The nominal throw ratio differs when the same GL-MS4011SG Short Fixed is installed on the series listed below, so the value must be selected according to the actual projector series.
| Projector Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.10:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector's imaging panel and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or light loss at the edges.
- Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 1.10:1. Use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation site. A fixed-focus lens has no adjustment margin, and even a zoom lens requires 10–20 cm of clearance at both ends.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount of that projector series. You must hear it click into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges usually indicate that the lens is not fully locked, rather than a fault with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, take one photo of each nameplate—the projector and the existing lens—and send them to us. Verification against the actual equipment is the safest approach.
