Barco Original Lens EN13 Wide Zoom is a factory-supplied optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a Standard Throw lens with a throw ratio of 1.24-1.60:1. The manufacturer's compatibility list covers 7 models. Before installation, simply verify the projector model and panel size; there is no need to make do with adapter rings. The value of an original lens lies not in a few extra rows in the specifications table, but in the fact that it is factory-calibrated to the optical path and mount of that projector series. Once installed, the image circle, edge illumination, and focusing travel are all at their design values, so there is no need to use keystone correction to compensate for image quality.

1. Lens Specifications
| Brand | Barco (Barco) |
| Lens Model | EN13 Wide Zoom |
| Throw Ratio | 1.24-1.60:1 |
| Product Type | Standard Throw |
| Compatible Projector Models | 7 models |

The above specifications are subject to the official manufacturer specifications. For mechanical dimensions, flange distance, and mount type not shown in the specifications table, please contact us with the projector model for verification. Ordering based solely on a similar model carries the risk of the lens not fitting.
2. Calculating Installation Distance from Throw Ratio
The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This original zoom lens (1.24-1.60:1) corresponds to a range of distances for the same image size and can focus at any position within that range during installation.
| Image Size | Image Width | Required Installation Distance |
|---|---|---|
| 100 inches | 2.15 m | Approx. 2.67 – 3.44 m |
| 120 inches | 2.58 m | Approx. 3.20 – 4.13 m |
| 150 inches | 3.22 m | Approx. 4.00 – 5.16 m |
| 200 inches | 4.30 m | Approx. 5.33 – 6.88 m |
These figures represent the clear distance from the front surface of the lens to the screen and do not account for cooling clearance or cable connections at the rear of the projector. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances should be verified on site and in accordance with the manufacturer's manual.
Image quality differs at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the close end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the far end, the edges are sharper and brightness decreases slightly. When site conditions allow, use the midpoint of the range. After installation, find the sharpest position on the focus ring first, then fine-tune the lens shift.
3. Compatible Projector Models (7 Models)
The table below is taken from the manufacturer's compatibility list. Brightness and resolution are populated from the model database; unavailable entries are marked “—” and are not estimated.
| Model | Brightness | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| CNHD-81B | 7500 lumens | 1920x1080 |
| CNWU-61B | 6000 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| CNWU-81B | 7650 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
| F70-W8 | — | 1920x1200 |
| F90-W13 | — | 1920x1200 |
| FS70-W6 | 5900 lumens | 1920x1200 |
For confirmation of whether a model not on the list is compatible, please send us photos of the projector nameplate and the existing lens. Platforms of the same generation often share a mount, but ordering based only on a similar model creates unnecessary fitment risk.
Throw Ratio by Model Series
The rated throw ratio varies by series when the same EN13 Wide Zoom lens is installed. Select the value according to the series of the actual projector.
| Model Series | Throw Ratio |
|---|---|
| — | 1.24-1.60:1 |
4. Three Checks Before Replacement
- Confirm the projector imaging panel and resolution. The original lens is designed for a specific panel size. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image area, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss.
- Calculate the installation distance first.Use the rated throw ratio of 1.24-1.60:1 and the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation space. A fixed-focus lens offers no adjustment margin, and a zoom lens should also have 10–20 cm reserved at both ends of the range.
- Verify the mount and locking mechanism. The original lens is calibrated to the mount used on projectors in that series. After installation, you must hear the locking mechanism engage. A skewed image or soft edges is usually caused by incomplete locking, not by a problem with the lens itself.
If you are unsure, send us one photo each of the projector nameplate and the existing lens nameplate. Verification against the actual hardware is the safest approach.
