Barco OEM Lens R9832758 Fixed is an OEM optical accessory for Barco engineering projectors. It is a short-throw lens with a 0.77:1 throw ratio. The factory compatibility list covers 2 models. The value of an OEM lens lies not in the additional figures in its specification sheet, but in the fact that its optical path and mount are calibrated from the factory for that model series. II. Converting Throw Ratio into Installation Distance

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This OEM lens is a fixed-focus lens (0.77:1), so the installation distance changes linearly with image size and offers no adjustment margin. Accurate measurements are therefore essential before installation.

The values above represent the clear distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not account for rear cooling clearance and cable connection space. They are calculated for a 16:10 image; actual distances should be confirmed by on-site measurement and the manufacturer's manual.

IV. Three Checks Before Replacement

• Confirm the projector panel and resolution. OEM lenses are designed for specific panel sizes. If the panel specifications differ, the image circle cannot cover the full image, resulting in vignetting or edge light loss after installation.
• Calculate the installation distance first. This lens has a nominal throw ratio of 0.77:1; use the table in Section 2 to calculate the distance for your installation site. As a fixed-focus lens, it offers no adjustment margin, and even zoom lenses should allow an additional 10–20 cm at both ends.
• Verify the mount and locking mechanism. OEM lenses are calibrated to the mounts of the relevant model series, and you must hear the lens lock into place after installation. A skewed image or soft edges is usually caused by incomplete locking, rather than a problem with the lens itself.
