SC27+ is a short-throw lens for engineering projectors (Hisense and Winmate), with a 0.88–1.33:1 throw ratio and lens shift. It is compatible with 4 projector models from 1 model series. This guide lays out the lens specifications, installation distances, model compatibility list, and replacement considerations in one place.

Lens shift is the key differentiator of this lens. The 110% horizontal and 50% vertical shift ranges allow the projector to be installed off the screen's central axis and the image to be shifted back into position using lens shift, without relying on keystone correction. Keystone correction has a cost—each correction step reduces the effective pixel count, causing text edges to blur. In professional installations, never use keystone correction when lens shift can solve the alignment; preserving image quality is non-negotiable.

2. Installation Distance by Throw Ratio

The throw ratio is the ratio of the installation distance to the image width. This is a zoom lens (0.88–1.33:1), so each image size corresponds to a range of installation distances, and the lens can be focused at any distance within that range during installation.

Image SizeImage WidthRequired Installation Distance
100 inches2.15 mApprox. 1.89 – 2.86 m
120 inches2.58 mApprox. 2.27 – 3.43 m
150 inches3.22 mApprox. 2.84 – 4.29 m
200 inches4.30 mApprox. 3.78 – 5.72 m

The distances above are the net distance from the front of the lens to the screen and do not account for ventilation or cabling space behind the chassis. They are calculated for a 16:10 image format; actual values should be verified on site and against the manual.

Image quality varies at the two ends of the zoom range: toward the short end, the image is brighter and the edges are slightly softer; toward the long end, the edges are sharper and brightness is slightly lower. Where the venue allows, the middle of the range is recommended. After installation, first find the sharpest position on the focus ring, then fine-tune the shift—adjusting both at once makes it difficult to achieve precise alignment.

3. Compatible Projector Models (4 Models: Hisense and Winmate)

The table below is ordered by model production date, from newest to oldest. It lists the resolution, brightness, and zoom ratio of the original lens for each model, enabling quick selection according to project requirements.

Common Features of These Models

The factory-supplied standard lenses for the 4 models cover a range of throw ratios; the specific ratio Depends on the lens. The 0.88–1.33:1 ratio featured in this article effectively adjusts the focal range, allowing the same projection distance to produce different image sizes—this is the direct reason for replacing the lens. It also retains full lens-shift capability, so the image can still be aligned after the focal range is adjusted.

4. Three Checks Before Replacement

  • Verify the panel dimensions. The panel specifications for this model have not yet been recorded. Please send us a photo of the projector's nameplate for confirmation.
  • Check the interface and locking mechanism. Interfaces are generally compatible within the same platform generation, but the locking latch positions vary by generation. If the image is skewed or the edges are not sharp after installation, the most likely cause is an incompletely engaged lock, not the lens itself.
  • Account for the lens-shift margin in the installation. The shift range provides some installation flexibility, but edge image quality declines at the limits. For typical use, keep the actual shift within 70% of the rated values.

For models not on the list, it is safer to send us photos of the projector nameplate and original lens for verification—platforms of the same generation often share the same interfaces, but placing an order based only on a similar model number is not worth the risk.
